What is the USD to AED exchange rate today?
The current USD/AED mid-market rate reflects the same interbank benchmark you’d see on Reuters or Bloomberg. Payset adds a transparent fee starting at 0.90% above this rate — no hidden markup. As your FX volume grows and crosses a tier threshold, your rate drops automatically, down to 0.09% at Institutional level, with the discounted rate locked in for 30 days from the moment you qualify. Learn more about Payset FX tier pricing.
How does Payset's USD/AED fee compare to my bank?
Most banks clip 2–3% on every USD/AED conversion, often quoted as “no fees” — invisible on the statement but very real on your P&L. Payset’s base fee is 0.90%, shown transparently before every conversion. As your FX volume grows, your rate drops automatically — down to 0.09% at Institutional level. The difference compounds. Learn more about Payset FX tier pricing and see how much your business could save.
How do Payset's FX tiers work?
Your tier is set by your trailing מחזור מט"ח ל-90 יום, not a monthly snapshot. This matters: most providers reset your tier at the end of each calendar month, so one slow month sends you back to the highest rate. Payset uses a rolling 90-day window, so normal business fluctuation doesn’t penalise you. The moment your volume crosses a threshold, your discounted rate locks automatically for 30 full days from that date, not until month-end. No application, no negotiation. Tier upgrades apply on the first trade that breaches the next threshold.
What is the difference between mid-market rate and a bank rate?
The mid-market rate is the real exchange rate — the midpoint between global buy and sell prices, the number you see on Reuters or Bloomberg. Banks don’t give you this rate. They quote above or below it and pocket the difference, typically 2–3%, with no line item on the statement. Payset always starts from the mid-market interbank rate and adds only a transparent, published fee, visible before every trade, never hidden in the rate itself. Learn more on how Payset’s FX tier pricing works.
Is the AED pegged to the USD?
Yes — the UAE Dirham has been pegged to the US Dollar at a fixed rate of 3.6725 AED per USD since 1997, making it one of the most stable currency relationships in the world. For businesses converting USD to AED, this means exchange rate volatility is minimal. However, the fee your bank or provider charges on top of the mid-market rate still varies significantly — and that’s where the real cost sits. Payset charges a transparent fee from 0.90%, with no hidden spread.
